About the Role
The VP, FP&A directly supports and partners with the Merchandising, Merch Planning, Real Estate, Marketing, Supply Chain, Store Ops and IT departments. This VP is charged with bringing this all together in an enterprise view that supports executive financial reviews, external reporting and investor relations communications. The VP, FP&A plays a key role in cultivating data-driven insights to provide business decision support to senior management and across the organization to deliver on the strategic vision of the business. Also, responsible for budgeting, forecasting, ongoing and ad-hoc analysis, reporting and tracking of strategic objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead an FP&A organization that provides data-driven insights and business decision support across the Company.
Own financial modeling and FP&A strategy across the Company, including the Long-Range Plan.
Manage the development of annual budgets as well as monthly P&L and cash flow forecasts.
Partner with business leaders to determine financial and operational metrics that drive results.
Lead cost optimization initiatives to drive efficiencies throughout the business.
Lead analysis in support of critical business priorities.
Oversee Capex consolidation and depreciation forecast modeling.
Challenge conventional thinking in order to obtain the most efficient solutions to issues, utilizing best practices, benchmarks and metrics to improve the organization.
Demonstrate empathy, self-awareness, and the ability to effectively lead, develop, and motivate a team of finance professionals.
Requirements
15+ years of experience in roles with financial accountability and progressive leadership responsibility.
Bachelors Degree Required. CPA or MBA preferred.
Experience in building high performing teams; Skilled leader who is passionate about developing talent.
Mastery of financial modeling and data analysis.
Possess the ability to articulate complex financial and operational information to all levels of the organization to enable the best possible financial decisions and intended outcomes.
Strong business and financial acumen, with a continuous improvement mindset.
Proven ability to influence internal business partners, lead change and accomplish goals through collaborative efforts, excellent team communication, and negotiation.
Experience leveraging technology to drive process efficiencies.
Significant experience in cost management and process improvement.
